once Zeus leaves the battle field thinking that no other gods are going to get involved with the war. Poseidon realizes now he has a good chance to he rushes to the battle field and gives Aias courage to fight. he realizes that its a god and he rushes into battle. I think Zeus should have just stayed he knows  the gods wont go up against him. by him leaving it gave a opening for Poseidon to jump right into action.
