Book 20
In Book 20 Achilles just ends up going on a rampage killing every Trojan in sight but yet again Apollo seems to take a specific liking to Hector. Earlier in the book he tells Hector to charge against the Acheans while they are weak and now Apollo ends up trying his best to keep Hector alive by telling him not to go alone against Achilles on line 376 "Hector, do not go out all alone to fight with Achilleus, but wait for him in the multitude and out of the carnage" but of course Hector as a warrior can't stand watching his fellow Trojans fall so he attacks Achilles regardless where Apollo then as to save him yet again. I do not understand why Apollo likes Hector so much.
