• In the moment that happened between Antigone and Ismene, it seems reasonable to assume that both Ismene and Antigone have very different view on the situation. Antigone is very determined and straightforward on what she wants to do. She is not afraid of the consequences that comes along with her action. On the other hand, Ismene is doing what is considered right because she do not want to be punished by Creon for her actions. However, what exactly is driving Antigone’s determination? Antigone’s sacrifice for her family definitely play a role in this situation. She felt as if it is her obligation and duty to protect her brothers, especially the fact that they are dead now. The least Antigone can do is give both of them the proper burial. Antigone also thinks that her family has been through so much and now that it is just her and Ismene left, she wants to make everything right with her brothers’ death.
