Antigone's idea of doing the right thing versus Ismene's idea of doing the right thing. Ismene wants to abide the law and not put herself in the same row as her family's ill fate whereas Antigone wants to make things right by burying her brother. At the end of the day, they both end up on the same boat, when Creon also blames her for aiding her sister, even if she had no hand in it. Their fate has ended up being the same no matter which type of "right" path they have chosen.

    This is very interesting, Ismene is doing the right thing according to Creon's order, while Antigone is trying to do the right thing in respect of her brother. But the question, is Ismene really doing the right thing in terms of protecting her family and honoring her brother by not going against Creon's order like Antigone?

    This is interesting because the two characters are fundamentally different in how they interpret rules as being right vs wrong, for different reasons. The two characters symbolize the desire some have for following laws out of fear, while others go against this fear and do what they think is "right."
